OUR WHEREABOUTS
Located on the eastern side of the Golfo Dulce in the South Pacific coast of Costa Rica, SOL Center is witness to one of the most biodiverse environments of the world. Whilst Costa Rica is home to 5% of the world’s species in its tiny 0.03% of earth’s surface, the Golfo Dulce and its surrounding tropical rainforests are home to 2.5% of the world’s biodiversity, earning its title as “the most biologically intense place on earth” by National Geographic.
This unique environment together with nature protection laws, have promoted the optimal conditions for life to thrive, making the Golfo Dulce one of the last truly intact ecosystems in this part of the world.
SOL Center is an educational and wellness center offering retreats, courses, trainings, events and internships focused on earth-based wisdom, such as ecology, permaculture and plant medicine, as well as many healthy and holistic lifestyle offerings.
As a center, we offer lodging, natural plant medicine and the opportunity to immerse oneself in the depth of the tropical rainforest jungle that surrounds us.
UPCOMING RETREATS
PARTNER WITH US
We are seeking partners who will be actively engaged and thrilled to be part of this vision. SOL Center proposes a collaborative partnership model where partners/investors would co-own up equity of SOL Center land (1.5 hectares), infrastructure and business. Part of our co-management proposal is our partnership council which holds quarterly meetings to vote on budget issues, as well as the overall macro plan of SOL Center. Partners will benefit from yearly stays in our eco-homes, cabins, rooms when available; discounted retreat rates; immersion in our natural ecosystem; priority access to become a SOL Village community-member; a seat in our community advisory council; and the opportunity to collaborate with a hands-on project that reaches past the immediate SOL Center into the larger Pavones community through its sister non-profit organization, The Golfo Dulce Alliance.
WORK TRADE
Are you a hardworking nature-loving activist, visionary or traveller?
Share with us your talents and ask about our work trade opportunities to become part of the SOL Center larger community! Make sure to check back for our April 2021 openings as we will be looking for farm workers, kitchen helpers, mural artists and yoga instructors.
